Start with familiar objects
Choose destinations children can name confidently. Read a concrete riddle aloud and ask what object it describes. Avoid relying on an unfamiliar word just because it rhymes.
Let pictures and speech support reading
A Picture clue is available when CluePup has a matching illustration for the destination. Other icons decorate the theme and are not automatically the answer. A grown-up can read any clue aloud so independent reading is not a requirement.
Keep the route manageable
CluePup supports 3–12 cards. For a first game, use a short route within an agreed area and add more only if that suits your group. The six-card example below illustrates the format; you can remove cards in the editor.
Help without turning it into a test
Offer a small hint, pause when needed and let the children find the next card after naming the place. Choose Easy as a starting point, review the wording and keep every destination reachable. Age labels are guides, not promises that every child will need the same level of help.
